homeschool internships

Help the homeschool children of one family in a home

A single-family homeschool helper partners closely with parents to support their children’s daily learning. Tasks can include leading lessons in math or reading, supervising science experiments, guiding scheduled independent work, and providing classroom-style routines (transitions, timers, learning stations). This role requires flexibility—adapting materials to each child’s pace and interests, and communicating clearly with the parent about progress and needs.

Help teach and tutor other homeschool kids in a class

Responsibilities include teaching classes, managing learning activities, and building fun memories with students. Classroom management emphasizes clear expectations, collaborative work, and routines that let students of varying ages engage meaningfully. This role balances structure and creativity: you deliver rigorous content while making learning active and accessible.

Help run a homeschool co-op at church

Responsibilities include teaching classes, preparing lessons for multiple age groups, managing student activities, recruiting families, designing a balanced program of classes, electives, and enrichment, and ensuring the co-op is both educationally strong and relationally nourishing.

family life Studies

Family-Life Seminars provide focused preparation for marriage and parenting through a biblical lens. These sessions address the foundations of family structure, roles, communication, and child training, equipping you with practical understanding before you step into these responsibilities. The goal is clarity, readiness, and confidence to build a stable, God-honoring home.

Below are the main experiences you will get.

Marriage & Family Book Study
Read and reflect on a carefully selected book that lays a biblical foundation for marriage and family life. You will analyze key principles, discuss core ideas, and apply what you learn to real-life situations, building a clear framework for future decisions.

Christian Parenting Program Research & Review
Examine multiple Christian parenting programs to understand their philosophy, methods, and effectiveness. You will compare approaches, identify strengths and weaknesses, and develop discernment in choosing and applying parenting strategies.

Online Homeschool Conference
Attend a virtual conference featuring experienced homeschool educators and speakers. You will gain exposure to a range of teaching methods, subject-specific strategies, and practical tools that can be implemented in the home.

In-Person Homeschool Conference (California)
Participate in a live homeschool conference where you will engage directly with speakers, vendors, and families. This experience provides deeper connection, hands-on learning, and a broader view of the homeschool community in practice.

Vibrant community

Attend worship services on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings—commit to hearing Scripture, growing in faith, and engaging in corporate prayer.

Join a children’s ministry team to teach, assist, or support activities so young hearts encounter Jesus in a safe, joyful environment.

Build relationships beyond the sanctuary by joining fellowship gatherings at the beach—an informal time for conversation, encouragement, and community-building in a relaxed, outdoor setting.

Receive consistent guidance through both one-on-one and group mentoring with experienced homeschool parents and teachers. These relationships provide practical insight, personal feedback, and steady encouragement as you grow in skill and maturity. Alongside this, participate in a young adult group that fosters accountability, shared growth, and meaningful connection within a like-minded community.

Attend Young Adults Group on Thursday nights. This is a great opportunity to connect with new people, meet up for outings and excursions, and encourage one another in your walk with God.
